ITS NOT CHARITY ITS JUSTICE Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” 37 But Jesus told them, “You give to them something to eat.” (Mark 6:37) Uganda has been hit by a very  bad drought from 2016 and Different parts of Uganda such as Karamoja sub-region, Teso sub-region and Isingiro  and Busia District have been hit by drought and famine this year. The dry spell has been as a result of climate change.  As Shalom we work with the community and lots of our project kids and the women we work with have been crying of hunger, the maize floor we had bought for the project could not stay because a lot of mothers were borrowing a cup for porridge for survival for the day for their families.  We had few respond from social media appeal on 17th May we Travelled to Busia, This time not just to visit Shalom Namutere Project, But with the Lords Command of “You give them something to eat”...

Pastor Kamau Training community leaders  The Annual Community/Church leaders summit is a leadership development conference that brings together leaders from around Busia and the surrounding areas, this years summit brought together about 85 leaders to discuss how they can transform their communities and the church. The event is hosted by Shalom Namutere Project. Pastor Kamau from Sandnes in Norway was the guest speaker during the 2 days event. the next summit will take place in January 2018 Leaders enjoying a meal during lunch brake Small group discussions  Kamau Visiting the community water source 

CELEBRATING MARIA LOUISA'S LIFE IN BUSIA UGANDA.

HOPE &  JOY PASSED ON .  I received an email from F.k Norway asking if I could identify vulnerable women and girls and give them some clothes that were donated by a mother who lost her daughter in Norway , and my answer was yes I will ,after all we work with a lot of those in Shalom community project. Shalom is an initiative by Robert and Gillian who after 1 year in a Norway exchange and being exposed to high level of development decided that they can do something small to change  life's in their community. Afrika is not just a continent but its our land its our brothers sisters, cousins etc... After some years now we have women and youth empowerment programs, a children project of 45 vulnerable poor children and  a small health Centre that meets the needs of the community.  Then  I received the new clothes and we identified some widows, orphans and needy women in the community and below are the smiles and exciteme...
